The ambition was clear: to transform a local idea into one of the UK’s most talked-about boutique festivals.
From the very beginning, Hope Yard PR shaped the story and built momentum year on year. Strategically timed announcements of headline acts, quirky happenings, and ticket launches secured national and regional attention, supported by editorial features and artist interviews that amplified the festival’s character and appeal.

On the ground, Hope Yard PR hosted journalists and influencers, coordinated interviews, and facilitated live TV and radio coverage, ensuring that the excitement around the festival was captured and shared in real time. Crucially, the conversation didn’t end when the weekend was over, reviews, photo features and post-event stories kept The Great Estate in the spotlight long after the music had stopped.
The impact was immediate. The festival sold out in its very first year and has continued to thrive with sustained national and regional attention ever since.
Coverage has spanned The Times, The Sunday Times, Daily Mail, The Sun, Fabulous, Cosmopolitan, NME, Rolling Stone, Escapism, Yahoo UK, Cornwall Life, BBC Spotlight, ITV West country, and BBC Radio Cornwall with recognition that has included being shortlisted by The Daily Telegraph as one of the UK’s top festivals and named by The Guardian as one of the best family-friendly events.
In 2025, The Great Estate continued to raise the bar with Supergrass, Happy Mondays and Leftfield topping the bill, joined by cabaret, circus, comedy and drag acts that delivered sky-high glamour and eccentricity to the Cornish countryside.
The Great Estate is proof of how consistent, imaginative PR can turn a fledgling idea into a sell-out national fixture, growing year after year while keeping its eccentric Cornish soul firmly at the heart.
